1938 Plymouth PT-57
1938 Plymouth PT-57 pickup
This truck is a reminder of Plymouth's brief venture into production of pickup trucks. They started in 1937, and produced trucks until the 1941 model year. When domestic car production re-started after World War II, all Mopar trucks carried the Dodge brand.
The current owner bought this pickup in 1972, and has held onto it and kept it running ever since. He says it's like family to him.
That's obviously a Dodge truck grille, but the PT-57 has all Plymouth ID numbers. This is the way it came to the current owner, who guesses that at some time before 1972 the truck was hit, resulting in the Plymouth grille getting crunched, and the Dodge grill installed as a replacement.
